Dreadlock installation

Your first locs, with room for your own style.

Start with your hair and your vision

Bring a description of your current hair and the look you are considering. Inspiration photographs are welcome: explain the thickness, shape, ends, or overall character you like. Your own texture, length, and density are part of the conversation; an inspiration image is not a guarantee of an identical result.

Make a considered plan

We can discuss sectioning, how you usually wear your hair, and what installation would involve for your starting point. Mention activities, head coverings, or correctly fitted safety equipment that your daily style needs to accommodate. Ask about preparation and expected appointment length before making other plans.

Know what happens after the appointment

Your consultation includes questions about care, washing, drying, and future maintenance. New locs can change as they settle. We will discuss what guidance suits your formation method and individual hair, rather than expecting every client to follow the same timeline.

Ask before choosing a date

Service suitability, pricing, availability, and preparation instructions are confirmed directly. Tell us about any event date or timing constraint early. You do not need to know the technical name for every detail you want to change.

Let’s talk about your locs.

Nanaimo appointments and home-visit inquiries welcome. Tell us about your hair and your goals; availability and arrangements are confirmed directly.
